Saving Account
A Savings Account can be opened by any individual, jointly by two or more persons, or by approved associations such as co-operative societies, institutions, and associations authorized by the bank. A natural guardian (father or mother) can also open an account on behalf of a minor.
The initial deposit required for opening a Savings Account is ₹500 (with cheque book) and ₹100 (without cheque book). The same amount serves as the minimum balance requirement for the respective accounts.

Documents Required
One passport-size photograph (can be taken at the bank counter)
ID Proof: Passport, Driving License, Ration Card, Voter ID, or PAN Card
Address Proof: Gas connection book, Telephone bill, Electricity bill, or Bank passbook
Introduction from an existing account holder
PAN number or declaration in Form No. 60/61 as per the Income Tax Act, 1961
